About Comrades to Youths Africa

Comrades to Youths Africa (CTY-Africa) is a youth-led nonprofit organization in Uganda dedicated to equipping young people with the skills, knowledge, and opportunities they need to thrive and create sustainable change. Through our programs, Students Empowerment, Sustainability Education, and Play4Change, CTY-Africa empowers youths to practice environmental stewardship, embrace innovation, and build livelihoods. The organization works closely with schools to foster eco-friendly practices, leadership development, and social impact, with the vision of raising a generation of empowered youth who lead sustainable change in Uganda and beyond.

Mission: To equip student youth with knowledge and resources to thrive in life and safeguard their future through environmental conservation efforts

Vision: A generation of empowered youth leading sustainable change in their communities and beyond.

Services Offered

  • Youth Skills Development & Empowerment. CTY-Africa provides leadership development and entrepreneurship support to help youth overcome unemployment and build sustainable livelihoods.
  • Environmental Conservation & Sustainability Programs. The organization engages young people in activities like tree planting, eco-awareness sessions, and sustainability education to foster environmental stewardship
  • Community & School Engagement Initiatives. CTY-Africa collaborates with schools and communities to implement programs that integrate youth leadership, sustainability practices, and educational innovation.
  • Sports & Talent Development. The organization organizes structured sports activities (football, netball, volleyball, chess, etc.) to improve physical health, teamwork, and discipline.
