Improve Liberia Cooperation Movement (ILCM)
Grassroots Leadership • Community Power • Sustainable Impact
Who We Are
Improve Liberia Cooperation Movement (ILCM) is a grassroots nonprofit organization dedicated to building a just, inclusive, and empowered society across Liberia.
Founded in 2019, ILCM was born from a simple but powerful belief:
lasting change happens when communities are empowered to lead their own development.
Working primarily within rural and marginalized communities, we address deep-rooted systemic barriers that limit access to education, opportunity, technology, and economic participation — particularly for youth, women, and first-generation learners.
Our approach blends community ownership, leadership development, and practical solutions to ensure impact that is inclusive, sustainable, and locally driven.
What Makes Us Different
ILCM operates as a:
-
Convener – bringing together community leaders, youth, women, and institutions
-
Enabler – strengthening grassroots capacity and local organizations
-
Platform Builder – connecting communities to national, regional, and global opportunities
Where gaps exist, we directly implement high-impact programs.
Where capacity already exists, we amplify, support, and scale local solutions.
This dual approach allows ILCM to remain flexible, responsive, and deeply rooted in community realities.
Our Vision
An empowered, resilient, and inclusive society where all underprivileged individuals thrive and fully participate in social, economic, and civic life.
